So how do you choose a DJ? Well that depends on what you are looking for. Many DJ's are strictly Wedding DJ's, others have little or no experience at all, but one of the biggest deciding factors for me would be, ARE THEY INSURED?
But please remember the old sayings, you get what you pay for and If something's too good to be true, it probably is.
I have been a DJ since 1999 and over the years I have played at many top venues (some are listed below), mainly across Essex, Kent & London. I also offer a choice of DJ Booths and Lighting options, Music is going to be the most important reason of all when choosing a DJ. Speaking from experience as a guest at many weddings over the years, I have personally asked for requests only to be told "I don't have it". My music knowledge is one of the reasons I get booked time and time again, and I can download songs live on the night if I don't have your request. We would also encourage you to make a playlist, this will help us on the night. If you are happy with all of the above, let's now look at some optional extras.
Once you have chosen a DJ you can now start thinking about your optional extras. What Booth do I go for? what Lighting will look best? What music do you play? Are there going to be many Children at the reception? and if so will they want a Sweet Cart? Of course they will. Do I go for Uplighting, Mood Lighting or Flashing lights and lasers? Well we have all of the above well and truly covered.
